The warbirds will offer three days of cockpit tours and Living History flights, hosted by the Evansville Wartime Museum. Don’t miss the opportunity to put your hands on the historic plane that led over 800 other aircraft on D-Day, and that also served in Operation Market Garden and the Relief of Bastogne.
Additional aircraft include the popular SNJ / T-6 Texan advanced trainer in which thousands of airmen trained for combat, and a twin-engine JRB Navy transport in which the whole family can fly together. Fans can tour the various planes both inside and out, meeting the pilots and crews and even taking a flight aboard one of the vintage aircraft.
Flights in the Navy JRB transport start at only $100, or the co-pilot seat can be had for just $200! A “paratrooper’s seat” in the C-47 Skytrain is $275 and a seat on the advanced trainer is $380.
Fans who want the ultimate warbird flight experience on one of these aircraft can make a reservation now for one of the limited number of 20-minute flights on the classic planes.
The public can tour all three aircraft during non-flying times for a nominal admission of $20 for adults and teens, $10 for children under age 5-12, which includes full admission to the museum as well as the warbirds.
Join us at Evansville Wartime Museum, Evansville Regional Airport, 7503 Petersburg Road, Evansville, IN.
The event will be open to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 9 – 11 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.
